Our paper Rotating curved spacetime signatures from a giant quantum vortex, which was published this month in Nature, attracted the attention of several media outlets and pop-science blogs and Youtube channels. In our press release, we renamed the giant quantum vortex we created in superfluid helium as a ‘quantum tornado’, which apparently became popular with the media!
Currently, the Altmetric score of the paper is 785 and falls within the top 5% of all research outputs assessed by Altmetric, which is amazing!
