I’m excited to share that our paper, titled Optical lever for broadband detection of fluid interface fluctuations, is now published in Applied Optics. A preprint remains freely available on arXiv.
This work presents a high-sensitivity optical method for detecting surface fluctuations in fluids. Based on the principle of the optical lever, we measured the spectrum of minute surface waves in water and ethanol across a broad frequency range, from 1 Hz to 100 kHz.
From the initial design through to experimental realisation and data analysis, this project was a genuine team effort. I’m grateful to all my co-authors and to the workshop team for their invaluable contributions and support throughout.
